Moving a Confederate Ironclad
On June 23, 2012 the ironclad’s remains were moved to the CSS NEUSE Civil War Interpretive Center located at 100 N. Queen Street in downtown Kinston, NC. The new fully enclosed and climate controlled facility where visitors can view the remains of the CSS NEUSE.
Group III Mgt., Inc. handled the hiring of the moving company that moved the ironclad’s remains and was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the move from the ironclad’s previous home on Vernon Avenue to is final resting place at the CSS Neuse Civil War Interpretive Center.
