
Havelock-East End Fire Station Annex – Havelock, NC
The Havelock Fire Station Addition is a single story, 3,800 square foot addition to the existing fire station. The facility was built using a monolithic slab and wood frame construction, along with wood trusses. The addition has a brick veneer, storefront windows with hurricane shutters, a single ply roofing system, and a wood screened patio. Inside the facility, are bedrooms, offices, kitchen, laundry rooms, and mixed use rooms. The walls are a level four finish with eggshell used as the primary paint, throughout. The ceiling is a revealed edge acoustical tile, with insulation above for sound attenuation, due to the nearby airstrip. The flooring consists of carpet, VCT, and special athletic flooring for one room. The bedrooms contain custom made lockers and the kitchen contains custom made cabinets. The kitchen also has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The facility is also equipped with a fire suppression system.
