Hoggard Athletic Complex and Stadium Wilmington North Carolina
The Hoggard High School Athletic Complex & Stadium project consisted of relocating existing sports fields temporarily while school was in session so that new athletic fields could be constructed. In addition student parking had to be reconfigured without interfering with regular school activities. The project was phased to allow access to the various sports fields relocated for the owner’s convenience. The project consisted of three soft ball / base ball fields, a soccer field, a competition university grade field and running track and a football stadium complete with seating and concessions. At the time this running track was constructed, it was only 1 of 4 in the state approved for official track and field events. It included high jump, long jump, shot put and disc throwing arenas. The football stadium was complete and ready for the Hoggard Homecoming Game as it was the owners desire to showcase this facility for that event. This project encompassed approximately 30 acres located in the middle of Wilmington, NC. It was completed while the facility was occupied with little or no interference with the owners operations.
