• Harmony Hall Historic House

Harmony Hall is one of the oldest homes in Lenoir County. It sits across from the Lenoir County
Courthouse on King Street in Kinston, NC.

Constructed in 1772, Harmony Hall was once the home of NC governor, Richard Caswell.

Harmony Hall was in need of repairs due to damage from leaky chimneys and a leaking roof over the balcony causing structural, trim, railing, plaster, and paint damage to this historic landmark.

Group III Mgt obtained a COA (Certificate of Appropriateness) from the HDC (Historic District
Commission) of the City of Kinston and worked closely with the N.C. Historic Preservation to comply
with local and state recommendations for this project.

The repairs included replacement of the metal roof for the balcony, replacement of adjacent trim,
column wrap, railings, and ceiling on the balcony. Also included in the repairs was repointing of the
masonry chimneys, plaster repairs (around fireplaces), and painting of affected or damaged areas.

Group III Mgt was honored to have performed the repairs for this historic community landmark.
